Senior Inhouse System Engineer Datacenter Operations (m/f/d)

Datacenter Operations: You are responsible for the stable operation and further development of our data center infrastructure and ensure availability, performance and scalability during ongoing operation. Kubernetes & Containers: You plan, operate and optimize our Kubernetes cluster including upgrades, backup/recovery, monitoring and troubleshooting. Virtualization: You manage and develop our VMware vSphere environment, including ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS clusters and lifecycle management. Storage & Network: You enter our Fibre Channel Storage Infrastructure (Zoning, LUN Provisioning, Multipathing, Performance Optimization) and work closely with adjacent infrastructure topics. Automation & IaC: You automate recurring tasks with scripting and infrastructure as code, e.g. with Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell or Bash. Support & Collaboration: You take 2nd-/3rd-level support, participate in readiness and work closely with network, security, cloud and application teams for stable end-to-end services.

Experience: You bring several years of experience as System Engineer or Administrator in Enterprise Datacenter environments. Kubernetes & Virtualization: You have very good know-how in the operation of Kubernetes clusters as well as deep experience with VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi, HA/DRS, Templates, vMotion, Patching and Upgrades). Storage & Infrastructure: You have well-founded experience with Fibre Channel Storage (SAN Design, Fabrics, Zoning, LUN Masking, Monitoring and Performance Analysis). Automation & Network: You master scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Python) as well as basic network and security topics (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, certificates) and ideally work with infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible or Terraform. Working & Team: You work structured and responsible, communicate clearly, work in the team and share your knowledge actively. AI competence: You use AI tools in your field, evaluate the results critically and support customers and adessi to use potentials of AI. Language knowledge: Very good German knowledge in word and writing as well as good English knowledge.
