Cooperative Engineering Training (KIA) with a focus on mechanical engineering

Doncasters is an internationally oriented manufacturer of metallic components for tolerance-critical applications with manufacturing facilities in Europe, USA and Mexico. Doncasters Precision Castings-Bochum GmbH manufactures approx. 600 employees Running and guide vanes for aircraft engines and stationary gas turbines in fine casting. The Bochum production casts both polycrystalline and directed or monocrystalline solidified components. You like to work with your own hands and you don't have a problem with making them dirty too? The first part of the cooperative engineering training is divided into a two-year shorter training as an industrial mechanic specialist in precision engineering with IHK degree. During this time you will visit the University of Applied Sciences Bochum on two days a week. From the 5th semester you will go to full-time studies, which will be completed after the 9th semester as Bachelor of Engineering (B. Eng.). The total duration of the training is 4.5 years (9 semesters).

You can complete all departments relevant to the training profession and learn the production of components, machine and manual, the control technology of machines (milling machine, CNC machine, lathe) and equipment as well as the improvement and maintenance of technical systems You actively support the day-to-day business and get to know the handling of materials and machines You get insights into the planning, organization and implementation of workflows You will learn the monitoring and optimization of manufacturing processes and testing, as well as troubleshooting You support the production of components for the real production process

You have the necessary university access authorization (abitur or specialist abitur [school + practical part]) You have a good mathematical and technical understanding You are a team player, but you can also work independently and have a structured way of working You own craftsmanship Your residence is in Germany
