Amazon Logistik (AMZL) is responsible for delivering millions of products from our customers directly to the doorstep. The “Last-Mile Logistics” delivers our packages in partnership with third-party providers and implements numerous initiatives for continuous improvement to satisfy millions of customers. Our goal is to make the delivery experience for our customers as smooth as possible and to introduce global delivery solutions for our latest offers, including Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon restaurants. Our work can be divided into two divisions. “Under the Roof” covers everything that happens within our logistics locations and “On the Road” covers everything that happens in the delivery areas on the road. Our employees prepare the packages in appropriate layers (night, early, late) for daily shipping to our delivery teams and take care of returns that could not be delivered. Every year we set new standards in terms of customer experience and offer new, innovative delivery services. We are looking for new ways to overcome industry-wide logistics challenges, as well as new ideas to reduce our carbon footprint. We support a fleet of innovative vehicles (including e-vehicles) and state-of-the-art technology.

The operating division is the heart of Amazon. This essential part of our company ensures that we efficiently fulfill and send orders so that our customers receive their articles in time. He is carried by Operations Managers:inside, which the team brings together to promote excellent safety, quality and productivity at all our sites. You coordinate other managers at your location:include the operational plan that will help your teams meet their goals. This role is fully geared to supporting Operational Excellence to create the Amazon from morning. - Leadership and development of a team of Area Manager:inside

• shift management of operating teams, handling of problems and promotion of location performance
• Analysis of the shifts according to company specifications and implementation of measures to improve our operational excellence
• Close cooperation with other support teams, including HR, finance, occupational safety and security
• design and implementation of initiatives at all locations to improve operational performance A day in the life You take the layer line at one of our operating locations. You also act as the main interface between several different teams, including the financial, security and operational integration teams. This means that you test the daily operations at your location directly and at the same time contribute to new innovation opportunities. A typical working day includes meetings with different business areas, in-depth investigations of performance and risk indicators for locations and forecasts for preparation for different demand volumes. You also offer mentoring and coaching to your team every day. As a leader, you support your team members to fully develop their management potential.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree of study
• Leadership experience and experience in stakeholder management
• Advanced English and German knowledge in word and writing
• Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to justify business decisions
• Relevant experience in production and supply chain areas PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience with Lean, Six-Sigma and Kaizen methods
• Experience in a similar logistics environment
• Experience in working with the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment
