With your expertise in the field of chemistry, polymer chemistry or product safety, you evaluate material properties, material compositions and potential risk potentials of raw materials and products and bring knowledge about the toxicological classification of regulatory issues. You are a specialist Sparring partner for complex issues relating to chemicals law, substance assessment and product safety and supports adjacent areas in regulatory technical issues. You do not only master REACH and chemical requirements – you interpret regulatory developments, recognize risks early and derive pragmatic recommendations for action. You follow regulatory developments at national, European and international level, assess their relevance to Bishop+Klein and define appropriate measures for the company. You support internal specialist areas as well as customers and suppliers in matters relating to product safety, regulatory requirements and material assessments. You are responsible for the data base as well as the preparation and testing of regulatory documents such as declarations of conformity and absence, customer questionnaires and product safety-relevant documents – with the quality claim that creates trust among national and international customers. With your process affinity, you recognize optimization potentials in existing processes and actively shape the further development of regulatory processes, standards and documentation structures – whether through automation, digitization or pragmatic process improvements in the daily business. You bring an understanding of data structures and digital systems and support regulatory requirements in practicable data and documentation processes.

Successfully completed studies or comparable qualification focusing on chemistry, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, food technology, oecotrophology or comparable. Multiannual relevant professional experience in regulatory affairs, product safety or chemical law – ideally in the context of the packaging, plastics or chemical industry. knowledge of REACH and chemicals law and a good understanding of chemical relationships, substance assessments and regulatory risk classifications; Knowledge of toxicological questions and experience in the field of hazardous materials or other regulatory requirements are advantageous. Embossed technical and regulatory understanding combined with a structured and solution-oriented approach. Joy in understanding complex requirements and developing practical solutions together with different disciplines. Safe handling of MS Office and SAP as well as experience in project management.
