The Faculty Library of Economics primarily supports the employees and students of the Faculty of Economics of RWTH Aachen at their work in research, teaching and studies. As of 1 August 2026, the Faculty Library is to be replaced by a specialist (w/m/d) for media and information services. The RWTH is certified as a family-friendly university. RWTH offers a variety of health, counselling and prevention services (e.g. university sports) as part of a university health management. There is a wide range of training and the possibility of obtaining a job ticket for employees and civil servants.

Your profile You should provide the following conditions: completed training for the specialist for media and information services (specialisation library) or a comparable qualification (e.g. completed training for the book retailer), knowledge of the form and mode of publication of journals, Basic knowledge of library rules (RDA) and the composite cataloging (preferably Alma), safe handling of common MS Office applications (especially Word and Excel), friendly appearance and good ways of handling, team- and service-oriented operation, resilience, reliability, concentration and care.

The employment is in the employment relationship. The place is to be occupied at 01.08.2026 and indefinitely. It is a full-time job. If desired, parttime employment can be made possible. The grouping depends on the TV-L. The place is rated up to EG 6, depending on the personal condition. The job description is aimed at all sexes.
