Who are we? Around 18,000 people work in pastoral care, administration and social institutions and educational institutions at the Erzbistum München and Freising. On behalf of the archbishop of Munich and Freising, the Ordinariat of Munich performs the tasks of the diocese administration. The Confederation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ) in the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising is the umbrella organisation of the nine Catholic youth associations in the Archdiocese. Since 1947 he has been committed to the political, social and ecclesial interests of young people. He represents about 102.000 children, young people and young adults who are active in Catholic youth associations and in youth work in the parishes. This election office is limited to 3 years, a re-election is possible. The election takes place at the BDKJ Diocesan Assembly on 17. October 2026.
