The Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change (LIB) is one of the major globally connected research museums of the Leibniz community. In addition to excellent research on biodiversity and its change, we are driving the further development of our extensive scientific collections with an international team and state-of-the-art technology. With our exhibition, mediation and communication work at our exhibition venues Museum Koenig Bonn and Museum der Natur Hamburg, we want to inspire nature and bring us with our research topics into current socio-political discussions on species, climate change and the protection of ecosystems. The construction of an integrated natural science museum is planned for the Hamburg site; the research infrastructure is currently being significantly expanded at the Bonn site.
