You work in a team consisting of 20 colleagues. The conception, programming and support of specific database applications and IT systems (including further development/optimisation) is within your area of responsibility. You prepare request analyses and performance catalogues and develop basic solutions, implement them and implement them. Their tasks include the co-design and further development of the IT strategy and IT architecture of the project promoter Jülich. You carry out the technical evaluation of the framework conditions with respect to applicable IT security policies and local IT environments and take over the conception of project strategies as well as advice and cooperation with IT projects. The software development (with higher programming languages) of individual modules, complex software components, interfaces and individual programming for system integration and ensuring stability, security and performance, as well as for the operation of the ministerial requirements in relation to reporting are also within your field of activity. You support users:in dealing with the various software products, including the creation of corresponding documentation.

You have completed university studies (Bachelor or Diplom FH) in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, information technology or in a comparable field. You have professional experience in server virtualization and server management for Windows and Linux servers. You are versed in handling VMware vSphere, anti-virus software, Matrix42 and/or Citrix Server as well as SSO (LDAP, ADFS), automation and PowerShell. You have already worked with automation tools, have knowledge of hardware management and have experience in SAN's operation. Ideally, you are familiar with the ISO 27001 based on basic IT protection. Knowledge of different project management and quality management methods as well as experience in project management and the (partial) management of IT projects complete your profile. You are highly consulting and communicate fluently in German (C2-Level). The work in interdisciplinar teams, including across locations, will give you pleasure and you will also convince you by a reliable and careful way of working.
