To make our car rental comparison even more customer-friendly and efficient, we are looking for you as Junior Frontend Developer (m/w/d) Fullstack PHP, JavaScript & React at the CHECK24 comparison portal car rental GmbH. We look forward to your application!

Your tasks include

• Work in the team: You work on exciting topics around our multilingual car rental comparison – from landing pages, booking routes to self-services in our customer area after booking. Working closely with our backend team to connect REST APIs and our backend systems
• Responsibility: You are responsible for the technical implementation of product improvements and develop our web frontends for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
• Tech Stack Optimize: You help develop the current state-of-the-art tech stack of our entire application
• Innovation by AI: You are actively engaged in generic AI (e.g. Copilot, Cursor AI or Jetbrains Junie) – both for the automation of development tasks and for the development of new features as well as for the quick and understandable explanation of code
• Ensure coordination and communication: You implement innovative features in close cooperation with our product managers and with your own ideas

What you bring

• Education: Completed training as a specialist (m/w/d) or comparable training in IT or studies in computer science
• Practical experience: First professional experience in software development and understanding concepts of object-oriented programming as well as in front-end and back-end areas
• Tech Stack: Knowledge of web technologies such as JavaScript, JavaScript Framework (React, Angular, Vue.js etc.), HTML and CSS. Previous knowledge of using the Linux shell and first experience with PHP or the passion for new technologies
• Digital Mindset: Passion and interest in web development and feel for UI/UX and actively explore new technologies such as Generative AI to make your work more efficient
• Drive and Spirit: Embossed quality awareness, hand-on mentality, very good communicative skills and team skills as well as high performance
• Language skills: German language skills and good English skills
