Number: MER0003ODB More than just procurement! The MP (Mercedes-Benz Cars Procurement & Supplier Quality) division is responsible for an annual purchase volume in the double-digit billion range and ensures the quality of the corresponding components. In partnership with around 1,500 suppliers in Germany and abroad, the necessary materials are provided for the worldwide production plants of Mercedes-Benz Cars/Vans. Locations in Germany, South Africa, China, India, Mexico and Argentina ensure close proximity to production. New challenges exist in particular in the areas of autonomous driving, connectivity and alternative drives. At MP/E we are responsible for the module purchase and the supplier quality of all electrical/electronic and MB.OS components. We support innovative international awards in fields such as connectivity, autonomous driving and electrical on-board networks, and ensure the quality in this complex and constantly changing environment. Electrical/electronics and software change the (automotive) world and form the central nervous system of our modern and innovative vehicles. We'll get the E in the car! These challenges include: Support in the preparation and follow-up of discussions and negotiations with national and international suppliers Prices and Conditions of Contract Preparation of negotiation results, creation of management presentations & visualization of key figures for preparing management decisions for awards Active cooperation in the operational business (e.g. creation and testing of purchases) Support in filling various purchasing systems Cooperation in the development of negotiation and procurement strategies as well as cross-functional strategy projects at management level Organisation of workshops, presentations and supplier talks The internship can start from 01.09.2025.

Degree course in the field of economics, BWL with focus on purchasing or a comparable degree programme Safe knowledge of German in word and writing: level B1-B2 Secure knowledge of English in word and writing Comprehensive knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and preparation (thinkcell, pivot tables, diagrams and complex formulas) Commitment, team capacity, independentness and reliability Analytical thinking and strategic working Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
