Compliance Officer Awareness & Prevention - Essen oder Madrid (m/f/d)

The position can be occupied either in Essen or Madrid. In close cooperation with Decarbon Technologies' central Legal & Compliance team, you will take over the following tasks: You actively shape the further development and effective implementation of the Decarbon Technologies segment's compliance management system and take responsibility for selected compliance management fields in the core areas of anti-corruption, data compliance, money laundering, external economic law. A focus of your activity is on antitrust advice and the further development and implementation of antitrust compliance measures. This will help you to ensure that the segment-wide standards are complied with, risks are recognised early and compliance requirements are implemented efficiently. In the sense of a holistic compliance approach, you advise and support further compliance issues, in particular in the field of the supply chain regulatory law and regulatory requirements. You advise the companies of the thyssenkrupp Decarbon Technologies segment in compliance matters. This includes, among other things, antitrust advice in M&A projects, as well as answering liability questions as part of the implementation of the Compliance Programme. Furthermore, you support the coordination and empowerment of the Compliance Officer of the Business Units and the Regions and thus contribute to an effective and consistent implementation of compliance requirements within the Segment. You support comprehensive reporting on compliance on segments or Group level as well as in the development of compliance processes, guidelines, concepts and prevention measures and accompany their implementation in an international environment. You analyze regulatory developments as well as compliance risks, take appropriate measures and accompany their implementation. In addition, you are actively promoting the further development of the compliance organization and the compliance culture within the segment.

You have a degree in law and a completed second state exam; Additional qualifications such as, for example, a corresponding master's degree can be seen. You have many years and in particular current professional experience in the compliance environment of an internationally active company or group. In this case, you have not only accompanied compliance topics by surgery, but actively designed, developed and implemented. Through your comprehensive practical experience, you will know the current regulatory requirements, challenges and risk fields in the compliance environment from the first hand. This includes comprehensive knowledge of compliance management systems as well as their strategic development and practical implementation. You have accompanied antitrust issues in the international business environment and have experiences in the antitrust assessment of cooperations, sales structures, tenders or M&A transactions. You have expertise in the fields of antitrust law, corruption law, data protection (including the right of digitalization), money laundering and external economic law. You have many years of experience in operational compliance consulting and the strategic development of a compliance management system. You convince your environment by a safe occurrence, communication strength and the ability to quickly adjust to different interlocutors. You enjoy working in an international environment, show the necessary discretion in addition to persistence and self-initiative. You have experience in project management of group-wide and business-wide projects. You have very good English skills in word and writing. German and Spanish skills are of advantage. A safe handling of MS-Office and fun on occasional business trips complete your profile.
