Head of the “Security Operations Center Digitaler Euro” (m/w/d) Place of work: Frankfurt am Main Job: Full-time (part-time is possible in principle), unlimited Job ID: 2026_0323_02 Together with our partners in the Eurosystem, we build a modern, scalable and audit-proof security organization for the Digital Euro. The ''Security Operations Center Digital Euro'' (D€-SOC) is responsible for our range of activities and forms the working of the unit, establish clear service levels and create transparency about risks, effectiveness and resilience. In international cooperation, you represent the positions of the Bundesbank sovereignly and ensure that innovation, compliance and operational safety are handled at any time.

As head of the D€-SOC, you will lead an interdisciplinary team and be responsible for building, design and reliable operation of all operational IT security services. You establish a 24-hour cyber defense with clear roles, processes, deployment plans and ensure continuous operational readiness. Widely plan and control the security services across the entire chain of vulnerability management, safety tests and monitoring to incidental reaction, forensics, positional images and awareness. In the European context, you are represented by the Bundesbank, coordinating cooperation with Banque de France, Banca d'Italia, the European Central Bank and other partners, and bringing professional activities effectively. Together with external service providers, you control services, ensure quality, costs and further development based on performance indicators and service associations and design the sourcing strategically. You continue to operate and develop central safety platforms for logging, evaluation and automation, improve detection accuracy and reaction speed and implement prioritized roadmaps. In safety incidents, you conduct the streamlined reaction, coordinate analyses, carry out follow-ups and anchor improvements permanently in operation and in processes. If necessary, you will be willing to call, at times of time and take service trips in Germany and abroad.

Outstanding leadership competence Master or equivalent degree in a relevant field (e.g. infor­mation, business informatics, mathematics, physics, engineering with a focus on computer science) Very good knowledge of IT security, especially in the operation of services of a Security Operations Center, in the identification and defence of cyber attacks as well as incident response and forensics Good business understanding Knowledge of agile working methods and first experience in controlling external service providers Knowledge of relevant IT service statement processes (e.g. incident, problem, change, configuration, release management) Knowledge of public procurement and procurement procedures Very good communication skills in German and English Health suitability for an activity with staggered working hours, for the adoption of readiness to call and for the execution of missions Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills Very good work organization Ability to address complex technical issues Ability to competently represent the bank inward and outward
