Forstwirt*in You love the work in nature, like to pack up and want to actively contribute to climate protection? Then you're right with us. Design the city forest of tomorrow with us – varied, responsible and in the midst of the tensions of nature and modern technology. Wood harvesting: You take wood harvesting also under difficult conditions. In the woods around Freiburg you as a team harvest the hardwood in the mountain mixed forests and in the Mooswald. Waldpflege & Waldumbau: You take care of the maintenance of our forest resources – from maternity care to the formation of culture in various planting processes. This allows you to make a direct contribution to climate-stable forest renovation. Nature Conservation & Infrastructure: Whether nature conservation measures, construction and maintenance of recreational facilities or hunting support: Your work ensures that our forest works for everyone. Machines & Technology: You work with modern machines and equipment, take over their maintenance and carry out smaller repairs independently.

You have a completed vocational training as a forester*in. You have good practical skills in wood harvesting – especially in heavy wood – and ideally master sophisticated precipitation techniques such as are used for example: for traffic safety reasons. You know the relevant regulations on occupational safety and you know what it takes in daily use. At the same time, you bring a good understanding of forest development and the challenges of climate change. You're sure to go with machines, have a good technical understanding and take care of maintenance and minor repairs. You appear friendly and sovereign and open to people – even in challenging situations with e.g. Forest visitors. You can explain your work in a comprehensible way and create trust. You are motivated, efficient and bring a high level of learning and innovation. You are happy to work in the team and can communicate with both station lines and within the working group in a targeted and address-oriented manner.
