Research assistant at the Oberhausmuseum (m/f/d)

The city of Passau is looking for scientific staff

Payment group 12 TVöD in full time (39 hours per week). The body shall be required to represent a colleague in parental leave (probably until June 2027). It is not possible for organizational reasons. For the collections of the Oberhausmuseum, the city of Passau is looking for a scientific staff. In addition to the municipal collections (the focus of art, paintings, graphic arts), the collections include other special collections such as the cultural historical collection of the Bohemian Forest Museum, the collection of the Passau Porcelain and the permanent presentation of sculptures by sculptor Hans Wimmer. The Oberhausmuseum in Passau is one of Germany's major municipal museums. The museum is located in the premises of Veste Oberhaus, one of the central tourist attractions of the city of Passau. The Veste Oberhaus with the Oberhausmuseum is thus one of the important cultural institutions of the city and takes over a key function for cultural life throughout the region.

Successfully completed university studies (at least B.A.) of art history, history or a comparable degree programme Completion of a scientific museum volontariat or multiannual professional experience in the museum are beneficial Knowledge of Bavarian history is advantageous Experience in exhibition management is desirable communication skills, very good expression in word and writing High level of care, accuracy and sense of responsibility Structured working and organisational skills Ready to work even outside the usual working hours and weekends Class B driving licences and their own CSFs are of advantage (no regular public transport link to the place of service and occasional perception of external dates)
