The Service Department is responsible for providing the printed literature and the digital media of the library in a suitable form. The local bond plays a central role here. It is responsible for providing, issuing and withdrawing all the media ordered for the borrowing home and is leading all questions of loan. It is also responsible for the registration of users and for the establishment and library-side supervision of their library accounts.

5 TV-L, full time, unlimited

Your tasks:

• Registration service (switch service) including the necessary background work and processing of special cases
• Signing of the media, including demanding materials
• Information and consulting services on all questions of the loan and registration or Approval
• Service at the local loan switch (issue and withdrawal of media)
• Introducing new employees and support for trainees

Your qualification:

• at the time of occupation successfully completed training at/to the specialist for media and information services, Department of Library or
• multiannual relevant professional experience in a scientific library

In addition, you have:

• good English language skills in word and writing
• excellent knowledge of German
• pronounced service orientation and loadability even in difficult situations of use
• readiness for the occasional takeover of late services by 7 p.m.
• high team and communication skills
• independent and dedicated working methods
