Access Network Engineer (m/f/d)

Conception, development and integration of passive and active network components in the Access Network of 1&1 Versatel - including planning and implementation of powerful customer access networks. Develop and develop the access network strategy for optimal coverage of all corporate requirements (e.g. P2P, P2MP, G‐PON, XGS‐PON, 50G‐PON) Design and implement technical standards and work instructions to ensure uniform, efficient and high-quality implementation of the network infrastructure and all relevant components and systems Communication and technical coordination with manufacturers and technology partners - including coordinated fault analyses, exchanges on further developments, evaluation of technical options and commissioning of necessary adjustments or extensions Developing, performing and documenting laboratory tests to verify network components, software stands, technologies and overall solutions and to ensure their internal release

Successfully completed studies (e.g. computer science, communications technology, business informatics) or appropriate training Experience in the field of technology in the telecommunications industry, e.g. for manufacturers of active and/or passive network technology or telecommunications companies Knowledge of FTTH network technology (GPON/ XGS-PON, FTTH, Ethernet) and protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3-BSA) Self-working, flexibility and commitment German language skills (min. level C1) and good English skills
