We are FC.OS, the financial and controlling organization of Mercedes-Benz, which combines ERP and BI under one roof. Our teams continuously design, operate and improve the platforms and products that enable global financial processes and data-based decisions. As a ''AI-Cap' for Finance and Controlling, we define the guidelines for responsible AI: governance, standards, life cycle guidelines, training and skills as well as a community of practice. We work with business and IT to convert data into results – reliable processes, trusted analyses and easy user experiences. Whether a challenge requires product thinking, engineering or both, we work in small, cross-functional teams, learn quickly and scale what works. Your tasks: Responsibility for the integration of artificial intelligence into everyday work – either with product focus, engineer focus or a mixture of both Conversion of business problems into clear opportunities, implementation of Lean Discovery with users and translation of insights into Epics, features and user stories Cooperation with design, engineering, data and security to determine success levels and promote acceptance Creation of small prototypes in Python or TypeScript, connection of data and systems via clean interfaces and further development of Proofs of Concept to stable services with tests, containers and automated deployment Design of Retrieval-Supported Applications, Implementation of Vector Search and Caching, Defining Guideline for Data Protection, Access Control and Traceability Presentation of workshops, explanation of target conflicts in simple language, skills of teams through short trainings, reference implementations and clear documentation

An above-average degree (Master, MBA or Promotion) in computer science, artificial intelligence / machine intelligence, data science / data analysis, information systems / economic informatics, software engineering, mathematics or statistics (with strong programming component), electrical engineering and information technology, computational engineering / scientific computing, business analytics, cognition science or human-computer interaction (with strong technical component) or a comparable study program Maximum 3 years of professional experience (outside the course) Ability to translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria First experience in building small prototypes and their development to stable, manageable services Confidence with data processing for structured data and documents; basic understanding of statistics Understanding modern concepts of artificial intelligence, including major language models, prompt design and quality assurance measures Strong moderation capabilities: performing short discovery sessions, holding decisions and voting of different stakeholders Understanding modern AI concepts, including major language models (LLMs), Prompt quality and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) At least 3 months of experience abroad (study, international internship, work and travel) Strong affinity for digital technologies and enthusiasm for future trends We appreciate applicants who show a strong sense of social responsibility Excellent knowledge of English (C1), German knowledge is advantageous Motivation to help shape the transformation at Mercedes-Benz and take responsibility Strong interpersonal and communicative skills, coupled with exceptional analytical skills Embossed team skills that others are motivating to achieve their goals We look forward to your online application.
