Mechanics in shiftwork Civil engineering Start: September 1, 2026 | unlimited | Full or part-time (Tandem) | Payment: until E 8 TVöD The civil engineering office designes and secures the urban infrastructure of our city – from roads, roads and squares to bridges and engineering structures to efficient construction site and traffic management. The tasks of the Office include water conservation and urban drainage. As part of the team of wastewater treatment plants and pump plants, you will ensure the safe and environmentally friendly operation of the wastewater treatment plant as well as the municipal pump plants.

Plant monitoring and control: Through regular tours, you monitor plants and machines to identify problems and take appropriate measures at an early stage. In addition, perform function checks and systematically record measured values to ensure the performance and safety of the plants. Plant operation and maintenance: You carry out maintenance, maintenance and service work on dewatering and incineration plants and on various pumps and machines. Make sure all devices work reliably, efficiently and permanently efficient. Repair and cleaning: With repair and cleaning work on the technical facilities and machines of thermal sewage sludge utilization, you will ensure a safe and reliable plant operation. Layer service: After a thorough incorporation, you take over tasks in the three-layer operation of the thermal sludge treatment.

Qualification: You have completed training in a technical, ideally electrotechnical or metalworking profession. In addition, you are an audited tanker or willingness to acquire the corresponding qualification as part of a further training. Expertise: With your experience in maintenance, ideally in power plants or plants with water-vapor-guided boilers, as well as your interest in wastewater treatment and thermal sludge treatment, you are well prepared for these tasks. Competences: You take responsibility, work reliably and enjoy constantly expanding your knowledge. A strong team capability and a clear, convincing communication are yours. Uses outside the usual working hours can be seen as a self-evident part of a safe and reliable system support. In addition, you will be amazed at technical processes and will be interested in the processes of wastewater treatment and thermal sludge treatment.
