Spezialist Systementwicklung (m/w/d) - Observability Engineer

In a team with nine colleagues, you support the introduction of an observability tool in a heterogeneous IT infrastructure. In addition, you expand and consolidate the existing monitoring landscape and develop strategies and architectures for monitoring, logging and tracing of applications, services and infrastructure. The integration of an observability tool into existing systems and processes – such as CI/CD pipelines, alerting mechanisms or dashboards – is also part of your responsibility. Another focus is the definition of KPIs and metrics to ensure the performance, stability and availability of observability solutions. In addition, you train and advise internal teams in the use and interpretation of observability data.

A completed study of computer science, an education in the field of computer science with multi-year professional experience or a comparable degree forms the basis of your qualification. Experience in the provision of complex IT infrastructures as well as in the handling of infrastructure as code (IaC). Knowledge of monitoring, logging and distributed tracing in the enterprise environment is among your strengths. In addition, you have extensive practical experience with observability platforms such as Instana, Dynatrace, Datadog or similar tools in hybrid cloud environments. A good understanding of microservice architectures, container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes as well as modern cloud environments completes your technical profile. Analytical thinking, a structured way of working, team skills and communication strength are your own personal character.

Salary: You receive a collectively regulated remuneration (compulsory contract for private insurance). In addition, you receive holiday and Christmas money as well as extensive social benefits - including an occupational pension scheme. In addition, a future-proof workplace awaits you.

Homeoffice: Depending on the location and arrangement with your leadership, you can choose between different home office models. At least two days are provided at the LVM campus. In addition to a fully-fledged technical equipment, you will receive a unique home office tray of 800 € gross.

Work-Life-Balance: Our flexible working time regulation with a 38-hour week and 30 holiday days allows you to adjust your working hours in consultation between 7 am and 8 pm. In this case, any overtime that has been completed is of course paid out or can alternatively be compensated for by leisure.
