EY-Parthenon Senior Consultant, Transaction Diligence (Financial Services) (m/f/d)

Our Financial Services division focuses on financial services and supports banks, insurance companies and asset managers to be successful in an ever-changing and fast-paced world.

As part of the Transaction Diligence in Cologne, Munich or Frankfurt/Main, we accompany both FinTechs, InsurTechs, Start-ups, brokers: both in the private equity and banking sector within the framework of strategy and M&A projects and in the implementation of different buyer and sales advisory services. You can do a variety of tasks: Buyer- and sales-side M&A consulting services including market/business analyses as part of strategy and management consulting projects for financial services companies as well as FinTechs/InsurTechs/Start-ups/Makler Analysis of the annual financial statements and the financial figures of a target company in the context of a financial due diligence and derivation of strengths and weaknesses, as well as identification of risks and the facts relevant to the purchase price in order to be able to give our customers a recommendation for action regarding a purchase/sales decision Assessment of the financial situation as regards income (analysis of turnover flows, costs and profitability including value-driven analyses) and assets (Working Capital / Net Cash, liquidity and silent reserves/loads) Support for our customers: in strategic and financial matters, in the purchase price and purchase contract negotiations and the development of transaction structuring options Continuously increasing leadership responsibility for small teams, as well as participation in project acquisitions and customer response by creating offers

Graduate degree in economics with a focus on business subjects such as Finance, M&A, Accounting, Controlling, Insurance and Banking At least three years of professional experience in consulting or in the financial environment and/or in the Strategy and Transactions/ Corporate Finance/M&A sector knowledge of accounting according to HGB and according to international accounting standards (and/or IFRS); very good communication skills in German and English (at least C1 level)
