Team Leader / Service Area Manager for IT Services Administration (m/f/d)

The municipal data center Niederrhein (KRZN) is one of the ten largest municipal IT service providers in Germany. We provide more than 18,000 office jobs in the Council houses and county administrations at the Lower Rhine and in the Rhineland with every form of municipal information technology. Teamleiter (m/w/d) for the “IT-Services Management” area at our location in Mettmann permanent and full-time (39 hours/week for employees or 41 hours/week for employees). The place to be occupied is generally suitable for parttime workers.

You are at our site in Mettmann as a team manager or Service department management in the area of ''IT-Services Administration'' and perform a team of currently 11 employees, both professionally and disciplinefully. Your work location is at our site in Mettmann and, if desired, in the home office. You are responsible for the information technology infrastructure of the municipality of Mettmann and its locations. Your responsibility also includes: Staff management including personnel planning and development in the service area, including the agreement of work objectives, the assessment of the work results and the management of employee talks as well as the capacity and deployment planning of the team Continuous control and optimization of work processes in their service area and in cooperation with others Conduct conversations with users as well as customers and participation in the creation and contract management Coordination and establishment of communication and escalation processes internally and with the users as well as customers Planning and coordination of necessary hardware and software acquisitions as well as budget creation of the department and participation in the creation of the annual budget requirement Taking into account occupational health and safety measures in the KRZN, in particular taking over a role model function, towards the assigned employees and constructive participation in the implementation or further development of the measures Special assignments are carried out in consultation with the department manager. In addition, you will have the following tasks together with your team: Administration and maintenance of approximately 2,000 Microsoft Windows clients, 350 printers, 250 mobile devices (Apple iPhones and iPads) and the associated periphery IT support for 1.850 employees of the municipality of Mettmann in all matters of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office as well as specialized applications of the administration and other software Working with software distribution systems, Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Lenovo Driver Update, VPN, MDM and End Point Security Microsoft Patch Management and Driver Installation Supporting the specialist application supervisors for the installation and maintenance of various applications, and monitoring of ticket systems and prioritization of ticket processing

You have a (special) university degree (e.g. the Department of Computer Science, Business Informatics) or a completed IT vocational training (e.g. a specialist in system integration or comparable level) You can demonstrate the ability to manage personnel, ideally have several years of experience as a leadership and have a high sense of responsibility, good resilience in crisis situations and a structured way of working You are characterized by a high degree of autonomy, team capacity, enforcement capability and a high target group and service orientation. In addition, you have a high level of social competence and an empathy for the needs of the target groups and employees. You have organisational skills, pronounced communicative skills and a safe occurrence You have relevant knowledge in the care and administration of IT systems – in particular with regard to hardware components, client/server architectures, network technologies and server operating systems A willingness to participate in training, among other things for managers, is assumed. A readiness to emergency services, possibly also on weekends and/or at night hours, is also assumed (if necessary) As the activity is sometimes carried out at different locations, a class B driving licence and the willingness to use a private car for service journeys (against distance compensation acc.
