Within the Investment & Participation Controlling team, Hapag-Lloyd AG Group is responsible for the investment controlling of two central asset classes of our operating value: charter ships and containers. In this position, you work closely with the operational departments, introduce the financial perspective into strategic questions and create sound basis for decision-making for optimal capital allocation. Business Cases are practiced for you – from economic assessment to structured analysis to address-oriented preparation for board and committees. You make a significant contribution to Hapag-Lloyd AG's long-term fleet and asset strategy, taking into account market cycles, capacity developments and regulatory frameworks of the global shipping industry. For the analysis, visualization and control of the investment projects, use modern business intelligence tools and drive their further development and the development of transparent KPI frameworks independently. Assessment of investments taking into account market cycles, charter rate developments, capacity control and fleet structure Coordination of investment planning (budgets & forecasts) and implementation of plan-actual deviation analyses and ad-hoc evaluations Ensuring a holistic investment and cost control for charter/leasing rates (in particular according to IFRS 16) and charter-related costs of the charter ship fleet for capital costs and container fleet structure (including IAS 16 and IFRS 16)
Active participation in the development of the fleet and equipment strategy from a financial perspective Further development, standardization and automation of BI dashboards, KPI frameworks and decision models as well as implementation of efficient process interfaces to operating areas (e.g. chartering, Fleet, Network) and relevant financial functions (e.g. Accounting, Treasury) to continuously control the investment portfolio Control and moderation of decision-making processes with different internal stakeholders in an international corporate environment Participation in strategic projects and taking responsibility for financial-related subprojects in cross-disciplinary cooperation
