Carl Zeiss CMP GmbH is part of the global ZEISS manufacturing network and offers services for the development and production of opto-mechanical and optoelectronic modules components. The central core competence lies in the production of highly corrected spherical optics systems, which are used in particular in high-performance lenses of microscopy.

Your role As a test engineer (m/w/x), you have the opportunity to fully introduce your expertise in optical measurement technology and actively shape the laboratory operation.

You are the central contact person for internal interfaces and take over the technical guidance of colleagues in the laboratory.

You create meaningful reports and documentation to ensure the traceability of the measurement results.

Together with the departments, you develop concepts and measures to ensure and further develop quality standards, implement them, check the effectiveness and initiate corrective measures if necessary.

You make informed decisions on product quality in border and special cases taking into account the valid standards and QM requirements.

You are actively involved in supplier release, qualification, evaluation and development and thus contribute to the quality of the entire supply chain.

You ensure the calibration of the measurement equipment and are responsible for the measurement capability in the laboratory.

Graduated Higher Education / Higher Education in Physics, Physical Technology, Optics or a Comparative Qualification

Practical experience in the application of optical measurement technology

Impressive ability to solve problems and the joy of developing new approaches and convincingly promoting their testing

High communication and team skills: You work constructively with internal and external contacts

Ideally experience in handling quality management and/or laboratory systems

Very independent, structured and entrepreneurial thinking working with clear customer and solution orientation

Flexibility, resilience and a high degree of self-initiative
