Head of Production – Equipment and Test Systems (m/f/d)

Professional and disciplinary leadership and further development of a team of around 40 employees Planning, control and implementation of customizing and product adaptation projects for equipment and development of own solutions in close cooperation with the areas of product development (software, hardware, board test), maintenance and production Management and implementation of complex, cross-departmental projects with diverse internal and external interfaces (including product development, manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers) Continuous optimization of organisational structures, processes and competencies within the department Responsibility for the planning and adaptation of production areas in the course of new product introductions, growth and value flow optimization Development and implementation of cross-product test concepts and support of the interface to engineering, in particular for software development Responsibility for the capacity planning of equipment and test systems to ensure a smooth production process Analysis, assessment and selection of suitable equipment taking into account technical, economic and strategic requirements Planning and realization of procurement, installation, connection and commissioning of new equipment including necessary building installations in close cooperation with the facility management Responsibility for geodesy, in particular measurement and calibration of motion simulators Supporting Director Operations in the development and implementation of a cross-product resources strategy as well as future-oriented technology and automation concepts Development and implementation of sustainable maintenance strategies for manual, semi-automated and fully automated equipment Ensuring availability and technical performance of equipment and test systems Planning and control of equipment shifts taking into account costs, time and risks

Successfully completed university studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software development or a comparable discipline You have relevant professional experience in the development, implementation and operation of complex automated equipment and test systems Experience in the development and implementation of test strategies and in the operation of modern production and test environments Ideally, you have knowledge in the test of mechanical, fiber-optic and micromechanical sensors as well as corresponding systems Experiences in automation technology as well as in software concepts for equipment and test systems are of advantage Knowledge of the testing and qualification of optical components and electronic assemblies is desirable Relevant leadership experience associated with decision-making and enforcement capability and interest in shaping changes Good SAP knowledge as well as experience in professional project management and in dealing with common project management methods and tools Good English knowledge of word and writing
