For over 100 years, the youth hostels have represented values that enrich life. As a non-profit association we operate 44 youth hostels in the most beautiful places in Baden-Württemberg. We create moments and experiences that remain in our head and go to heart. In a family atmosphere, we work daily to meet this goal. The Mannheim International Youth Hostel has 258 beds in 73 rooms. We create encounters and unforgettable experiences for school classes, families and groups. Our team is committed to making the guests feel comfortable in the youth hostel every day. (m/w/d) in full time (40 h) / early shift from 06:30

You prepare fresh and varied dishes for our guests and make an attractive edition. You support the planning and preparation of our meals and bring your own ideas for a varied meal. You take the preparation of ingredients as well as all the work in kitchen production. You pay attention to compliance with our hygiene, quality and safety standards in accordance with HACCP guidelines. You control food on delivery and care for their professional storage.

You have already made your passion a profession and have completed your training as a chef (m/w/d). You have a great host heart and a passion for gastronomy. A high level of reliability and flexibility as well as the willingness to work on the weekend are of course for you. Your own initiative, willingness to use, resilience, confidentiality and trustworthiness are yours. You have knowledge of the LMHV, the IfSG and the device functions. Good knowledge of German and possibly English skills complete your profile. You have basic knowledge in dealing with MS Office.
