Lead Enterprise Architect, Operational IT (m/f/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. from now on and in full time at a BWI location. In the Enterprise IT Architecture & Portfolio (EAP), we are responsible for the strategic, technological and architectural orientation of BWI. We ensure the continuous further development of the service and performance portfolio and ensure that all (non)IT services are consistent with the requirements of the Bundeswehr. To this end, we develop a long-term vision, maintain and expand the building planning and manage the entire portfolio with a view to efficiency, transparency and sustainability. Thus, we act as a central entity for defining strategic requirements and principles, developing a reference architecture and managing the entire service portfolio. In the area of Enterprise IT Architecture Management (EAM), we set the guidelines and define the guidelines for strategy-compliant alignment of BWI's IT architecture. Our work is based on the strategic framework documents, concepts and planning of the BWI, the shareholder and the customers. We support the demand and supply phases, introduce architectural specifications and reference architectures and make key architectural decisions. In addition, we implement the BWI's target building plan with the help of appropriate measures and thus ensure a uniform, future-oriented architecture development. We support and advise on BWI's projects, services and solutions and ensure the consistent implementation of the requirements of enterprise architecture management.

Content responsibility for reference architectures, including their dependencies, priorities and relationships

Creation of reference architectures and architectural principles (APAV) in copperation with colleagues in the neighboring department

Support of projects, solution and service developments within the framework of EPDF, e.g. service charter, APAV-Tailoring, architectural decisions, as well as service and solution descriptions

Responsibility for the share of architecture in the context of participation in the creation of strategic target images

Interface to the customer together with elements of the EAP and the Account Management to ensure a coordinated approach

Transfer of strategic target images from the perspective of architecture and reference architectures to IT building planning and handover to colleagues in the neighboring department for operational design

Focusing the cluster programs on the strategic overall architecture and strategic target images

Technical approval of strategic artefacts (reference architectures, APAV) as well as deviations from architectural specifications within the framework of architectural expert discussions

Cooperation with colleagues within the EAP on the methodological development of architectural and planning processes

Completed IT-related study of computer science, business informatics or comparable MINT courses alternative an equivalent completed vocational training

Mind. 6-year relevant professional experience with tasks as enterprise or solution architect

Width and cross-technology IT skills, specialized knowledge in at least one of the following areas: ERP, Cloud, AI, data management, IT (e.g. GMN) or networks

Very good knowledge of architectural management tools (e.g. ARIS, SPARX EA) and architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF or NAF)

Experiences in the customer environment of the Bundeswehr or authorities and knowledge in the field of portfolio management are desirable.

Experience in communication and cooperation with medium and top management

Self-working, methodological, economic and solution-oriented thinking and action

German Treatable, English good in word and writing
