Field work & technical assistance: preparation of the site (release of drilling sites, removal of obstacles) as well as support for drilling, probes and in-situ field tests including installation and reading of geotechnical measuring instruments. Sample management: expert collection, packaging, labelling and documentation of soil, rock and water samples as well as transport of these samples between site and laboratory. Device and laboratory activities: transport, cleaning and easy maintenance of the equipment used, as well as support for preparatory laboratory tasks such as sample preparation for physical and chemical tests. Documentation & Security: Conduct field notes and simple records as well as consistent compliance with all safety, work and health regulations on construction site and laboratory.

Technical understanding & experience: basic understanding in handling simple construction equipment and measurement technology; first experiences in construction, crafts and agriculture are beneficial. Formal & safety-relevant requirements: Class B driving licence (often required), good knowledge of German communication and documentation as well as willingness to work in PSA/UVV regulations and to comply with them consistently. Physical requirements: Good physical loadability and endurance for outdoor work under different weather conditions as well as for lifting and carrying equipment and samples. Working & Personal Features: High reliability, sense of responsibility and precise and careful work in sample collection, packaging, labelling and documentation. Social competencies & flexibility: team capacity in close exchange with drill guides, construction material testers and geotechnical technicians as well as willingness to change places of work and varying working hours.
