In our central emergency take-up, with increasing tendency, more than 44,000 patients per year are medically and emergency. The central emergency room is equipped with two shock rooms, treatment and surveillance sites and cooperates with the established area for outpatient (walking emergencies). The structural adjustment is currently being carried out with a "fast-track" unit, an extended monitoring area and a CT for the shock rooms, with completion of the entire new building in the spring of 2026. The electronic patient curve with extensive digitization of our treatment processes has already been implemented as part of the new reference of subarea 1.

All acute and emergency patients in the region are treated in an interdisciplinary manner by a team of assistants and senior physicians in our central emergency. The share of rescue and emergency medical assignments is over 50%, around 40% require further stationary treatment.
