Number: MER0003VA4 Our department is constantly looking for innovative ways to optimize the design process in the interior and develop concepts for components and productions in the interior of the vehicle. The early concept phase is crucial for visualizing creative ideas and testing technical feasibility. Generative AI offers a promising potential to accelerate and improve this process. The aim of this work is to develop a tool that is based on generic AI design for components and productions in the vehicle interior. The tool is designed to enable the department to quickly and easily create and visualize different design variants to support decision-making and concept-finding. Your tasks: Introduction to the basics of generic AI: Research on current methods and models in the field of AI based generative image synthesis (e.g. ComfyUI) Analysis of applications of generic AI in the design or UI/UX area
Conception and development of the tool: definition of requirements for the tool in cooperation with the department Development of a suitable architecture for the tool Implementation of the tool Integration of interfaces for inputting ideas and technical data
Training and evaluation of the AI model: Component design based on steering wheel Creation of a suitable set of steering wheel designs Training of the generative AI model with the created dataset Evaluation of results using quantitative and qualitative metrics
