You work in a well-founded manner in the packaging concept for the disposal of the RDB inserts and ensure that all requirements for end-storage conditioning are met technically and regulatoryly. You take over the container planning, process the container supply list and participate in the selection and loading planning of suitable waste and end storage containers to ensure safe and efficient disposal. As part of ongoing disposal campaigns, you will support the supervisory and final storage measures, assist in approval and product control processes and thus contribute significantly to the legally secure implementation. You test waste bins with respect to their final storage capacity, carry out activity calculations – for example with microshield – and create the radiological and material description of radioactive waste. In addition, create and bundle the storage-relevant documentation for intermediate storage and end storage, prepare application documents before and accompany preparatory measures as well as, if necessary, loading of containers within the framework of campaigns. Participation in project discussions as well as the time- and outcome-oriented tracking of work packages ensure that all interfaces work together efficiently and the project objectives are reliably achieved.

You have completed a further education on the subject of nuclear engineering, environmental engineering, process engineering or a comparable technical field or have completed engineering studies, for example in nuclear engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, environmental engineering or a related field. Funded knowledge in the product control process as well as in the waste flow and control system (AVK) enable you to safely accompany disposal processes. You have knowledge of the conditions of acceptance of the Bundesendlager Konrad as well as of intermediate warehouses and are familiar with conditioning processes of radioactive waste and end storage containers. Experience in radiological assessment, activity calculation – ideally with Microschild – as well as in the creation of storage-relevant documentation, bring you with or have gained first practical experience in this environment. A high degree of sense of responsibility, structured work, resilience, and the ability to document complex issues precisely and to coordinate with authorities and project participants round off your profile.
