That makes this job interesting for me: The transformation of the energy system requires efficient converter stations and other large technical installations. These connect power grids to one another and enable the reliable transmission of large quantities of energy. For their realization, demanding buildings, special foundations and numerous technical interfaces are required. In this role, I lead the structural part of the large-scale plant projects – from basic determination to design and execution planning to structural implementation and commissioning. In the project, I am the central contact person for all issues relating to construction, foundations and civil engineering, prepare the engineering decisions and answer them professionally. Together with the disciplines involved, I make sure that the diverse requirements are brought together safely, economically and on time. In the field of construction engineering, I work large-scale plants, which provides the technical expertise for the large-scale plant projects from 50Hertz – from sophisticated special construction works to large-sized foundations to complex engineering interfaces. In the team we exchange experiences from ongoing projects and solve difficult technical questions together. My tasks: development and evaluation of technical-economic variants for constructions, special constructions and foundations and development of resilient decision proposals, Definition of technical requirements and planning bases. I am responsible for their implementation over all phases of the project, responsibilities of the technical part of tendering and awarding processes, examination and evaluation of the offers, preparation of the award decisions and representation of these to the project management; technical control of external planning offices and exporting companies, coordination of the interfaces to the adjacent specialist disciplines and concentrating the engineering topics in the project, quality assurance and acceptance of the scope of construction, monitoring of the dates, quality and risks of my subject in view and initiating countermeasures in the event of deviations, Participation in cost and budget planning as well as in the budget controlling of my expertise, controlling the procurement process in coordination with the budget managers and purchasing and technical evaluation of supplements.
