April 2026, identification number 2/73 (please specify) The City Planning Office of the City of Science Darmstadt deals with the sustainable urban development of the city, taking into account social, cultural, economic and environmental protection requirements. The tasks therefore extend in the broadest sense to the life environment of the intestinal citizens. Based on this, the Office develops planning concepts under fair balancing of all public and private concerns, it regulates both public and private construction and controls the spatial infrastructure development in the city. With the instrument of construction planning, urban planning essentially directs land use in the municipal area.
