We are looking for: Coordinator (m/w/d) Climate Change Adaptation with a focus on rainwater management/water management in the field of climate, nature and environment The tasks of space-related climate adaptation – the focus of rainwater management/ settlement water management are carried out at the Climatic Adaptation and Freiraum. The staff office is located in the field of climate, nature and the environment, where currently 55 colleagues work. The interdisciplinary, friendly, 4-member team is currently chaired by the department manager at the staff office. The staff are responsible for the development of urban free space, the development of the urban free space system of the green fingers and the tasks of the cultural and landscape park Piesberg. The space-based climate adaptation with the inter-disciplinary topics of sponge city/swimming landscape as well as the planning and development of green and blue infrastructure elements are the future tasks of the city of Osnabrück. You have completed university studies in the field of landscape architecture, free space planning, environmental engineering, geosciences or urban and spatial planning, each with a focus on water management and/or settlement water management. We also expect: Precipitation and drainage processes (hydrological foundations), general drainage planning, precipitation and consequences of climate change, rainwater management and reduction Basic understanding of municipal action in the federal state Experience with municipal planning processes/methods is desirable A positive attitude towards employment in a public employer Own initiative, independent work and safe occurrence Solution and team orientation Information and communication skills Motivational and persuasive Experiences with common CAD programs and ArcGIS are desirable
