The microstructural characterization and the build-up of microstructure property relationships form the prerequisite for the further development or design of new materials with improved properties. The focus of the activities of the chair for corrosion and corrosion protection is the design of materials and surfaces with optimized corrosion properties without mechanical and mechanical stress. The Chair for Corrosion and Corrosion Protection at the Foundry Institute stands for innovative, cross-sectional research at high quality level and the successful transfer of research results into practice for the benefit of the German business location.
