Your Role

As a Service Engineer – Test Systems, you will support our photonics and semiconductor test systems both on customer sites across Europe and inhouse- at our Augsburg location. This role combines hands on Technical Service, Customer Service facing responsibilities, and structured documentation. You will act as the main technical interface during on-site visits while supporting internal technical operations and close collaboration with engineering teams.

Your Responsibilities Install, commission, and start up photonics and semiconductor test systems at customer sites Provide hands-on- electrical and mechanical support during installation, troubleshooting, and repairs Diagnosis and resolve technical issues on-site to minimize downtime Read and interpret electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings Perform Preventive maintenance and corrective service work Support customers in operating the equipment, including basic training and guidance Act as the primary technical contact during on-site service Perform in-house technical search as system checks, preparation, basic assembly, and verification Prepare, maintain, and update service reports, technical documentation, and internal records Ensure a structured, well organized- documentation of all service activities Coordinate with R&D and engineering teams in Germany and Taiwan on complex technical topics Provide clear feedback from the field to support continuous product and process improvement Collaborate close with sales, service, and product teams to enhance customer experience

Your Profile

• Degree or vocational background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field • Strong hands on experience with both electrical and mechanical systems • Experience in installation, commissioning, and service of complex technical equipment • Ability to work independently at customer sites and collaboratively within international teams • Structured and well organized working style with high attention to detail • Experience with technical documentation and reporting • Confident in reading technical drawings, circuit diagrams, and assemblies • Strong problemsolving skills and a Customer Oriented Mindset • Willingness to travel frequently across Europe and occasionally to our HQ in Taiwan • Valid driver licenses • Fluent English required; English and/or Chinese is a strong advantage
