Electronics Technician for Fiber Optic Measurement Systems (m/f/d)

At our location in Cologne, our expertise lies in the development, production and distribution of high-quality fiber-optic sensor systems for spatially distributed temperature measurement and structural monitoring. We offer our customers solutions that can save lives by recognizing emerging fires in tunnels, buildings and industrial plants; solutions that enable safe and optimal use of energy networks, industrial reactors, induction furnaces and many other plants by constantly monitoring thermal and mechanical stresses; Solutions that warn against damage by third parties or natural events. Thanks to our in-house developed laser-based hardware and software, the self-designed fiber optic cables, which serve as local sensor technology and our high technical know-how, we can offer customers an optimal product for their application.

In order to strengthen our ambitious team, which is responsible for the timely production of fiber-optic temperature and strain gauges, we will soon be looking for an electronic (w/m/d).

Independently responsible construction, testing and testing of optical and electronic assemblies Testing and evaluating laser-based fiber-optic measuring systems (Raman / Brillouin) Analysis of measurement and test data with LabView in the production database Manufacture of fiber optic compounds for optical components by means of splicing technique Supporting our engineering team in implementing development projects (e.g. test series, hardware, troubleshooting) Implementation of material bookings in the ERP system

Successfully completed training in electrical engineering, electronics, system electronics, physics laboratory or comparable qualification Including professional experience Knowledge of electronic circuits Fiber-optic knowledge (splicing), basics in LWL technology Experience in soldering incl. SMD components Ideally experience in handling optical and electronic measuring instruments (OSA / Oscilloscope / Powermeter) Good knowledge of German and English Openness and fun of teamwork Independent, responsible and reliable operation
