E&I Engineering – R&D Center (Braunschweig): Planning, specification and selection of measuring, electrical and control technology for technical and laboratory equipment Creation and testing of specifications, data sheets and tender documents (including safety instrumentation, measurement and control technology, PLC/DCS, electrical infrastructure) Support in carrying out and evaluating experimental campaigns to ensure appropriate measurement and control structures Project coordination – (Hürth): Creation and testing of E&I engineering documents: single line diagrams (SLD), instrument directory, loop diagrams, I/O lists and control structures Key role as interface to suppliers and engineering partners for E&I packages Examination and approval of technical documentation to ensure compliance with standards and project requirements (engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning) tuning the measurement, control and automation scope with process engineering, work safety and construction teams Examination of supplier offers, implementation of technical offer comparisons and coordination of procurement of electrical engineering, instrumentation and control systems Monitoring of contractors during installation and ensuring compliance with design, quality, HSE and cost requirements Support for cost estimation and deadline tracking for E&I-Deliverables Supporting the commissioning preparation and ensuring the know-how transfer from the technician to the industrial scale General: Occasional support in R&D Center trials Documentation and reporting on results, specifications and project status Regular travel to Hürth (2–3× per month)
University degree in electrical engineering, automation technology or a comparable subject area Proven experience in E&I engineering in chemical or process plant projects, ideally 4–6 years of professional experience Knowledge of safety instrumentation, measurement and control technology, PLC/DCS and electrical infrastructure Confidence with relevant standards and tools (IEC 61511, ATEX, SIL, EPLAN, etc.) Structured working, high responsibilities and enthusiasm for innovative technologies Impressed communication skills and readiness for interdisciplinary cooperation
