You keep our IT running – around the clock, safe and stable. In the shift service, you enter the police control system 110 and our data centers. You work with RHEL, Windows, VMware and OpenShift. Your job is all but usual: You monitor central IT systems, take care of storage network (SAN) and are the first contact point in the technical service desk outside office hours. Analyze disturbances directly in the 1st level and coordinate emergency measures. Technology is in good hands with you: You manage multiple RZ locations, exchange hardware, monitor databases (MS SQL, PostgreSQL) and systems such as climate, access control, video and USV. With tools like HPE OneView, Dell iDrac & Co you have everything in mind. And if colleagues (w/m/d) have questions, you will be there with know-how and solutions. Sounds like you? Completion of a degree with the academic degree Bachelor/ Diploma (FH) in the field of computer science, information technology or electrical engineering or a comparable technical degree with a focus on data processing or a comparable qualification based on equivalent knowledge and experience. Where: Your language of origin is not German, is a recognized language certificate for German language skills, at least level C 1, according to the competence scale of the Common European Framework for Languages (GER). The entire selection process is carried out in German. Beyond the formal requirements, you bring: You are well familiar with current operating systems such as VMware, Microsoft Windows Server and Red Hat Linux. Even databases such as Microsoft SQL or PostgreSQL are not a new country for you – you know how to administrate them and use them optimally during operation. In the storage administration you have already gained experience – ideally with solutions from manufacturers such as HPE or NetApp. You can handle system software and tools from a variety of providers and are familiar with modern backup systems such as Data Protector or Veeam. IT networks are more than just cables and protocols for you – you bring sound know-how and understand how complex infrastructures work. Tools such as DCIM for infrastructure management or PRTG for monitoring are used routiniert. You have already worked with management and analysis tools and know how to efficiently operate and monitor complex system landscapes. Ideally, you could also gain practical experience in quality assurance, including the IuK process operation and the implementation of safety standards such as basic BSI protection, emergency concepts and data protection guidelines. What distinguishes you beyond: You can well imagine supporting the Berlin police in shiftwork and with readiness – even if it gets stressful, you stay focused and reliable. You work fast, targeted and actively contribute to your team. Sharing knowledge is of course for you – because you know that good IT only works together.
