Scientific Assistant (PhD position) in the field of Theoretical Quantum and Strong-Field Physics

You develop novel methods for examining ultra-fast electron dynamics in strong laser fields with classic and quantum light sources. You are integrated in the simulation of quantum mechanical electron dynamics on attosecond time scales. You provide the connection of experiment and theory through the analysis of experimental data and their interpretation using modern simulation methods.

A prerequisite for the recruitment is a completed academic degree (master or comparable) in physics, quantum science, photonics or a related subject. In addition, you will have the following qualifications: very good knowledge of quantum mechanics Knowledge of theoretical physics, mathematical methods, experience with scientific programming (e.g. Python, C/C++, Julia or Fortran) Knowledge of quantum optics, high field physics or attose customer research is advantageous Leibniz Universität Hannover is committed to equal opportunities and diversity.
