The AKK Altonaer Kinderkrankenhaus gGmbH is a non-profit children's hospital with 237 beds. As a subsidiary of the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) and Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus, we take part in the clinical training of the students. Last year, 12,500 stationary, 3,500 semi-stationary and 45,000 outpatient children and young people from all over Germany were cared for. In our Central Emergency Ambulance (ZNA), we treat children and young people of all ages with paediatric, child-surgical and accident-surgical diseases. Our ZNA also includes our interdisciplinary emergency and reception station (INA). This 10-bed station decides whether a longer stationary stay is necessary or is more suitable for an outpatient further treatment.
