Who we are

The LVR-Jugendhilfe Rheinland with the facilities in Solingen, Tönisvorst, Remscheid and Euskirchen is a highly differentiated youth aid facility with 351 seats. At the Euskirchen site, the LVR-Jugendhilfe Rheinland operates a highly differentiated youth assistance facility with 91 fully-stationary seats.

The Intensive Group Wassermannstr. is an intensive educational and fully-stationary offer for seven children and young people from 6 years to self-employment. The group is coeducative and mixed with age. Against the background of trauma pedagogical approaches, the IG

Wassermannstr. as a place of life for children and adolescents, which in particular attempts to restore emotional stability and internal security in children and adolescents with strong bond insecurity as well as chronological survival strategies. This means living participation in everyday pedagogical life, which becomes tangible, for example, by co-determination in the design of the premises, leisure activities and food and weekly plans. In daily work, the intensive group offers a structured daily routine, which is to create clarity, security and stability through understandable and transparent rules. Space for individual leisure design is also an important aspect in everyday life.
