Number: MER00049JY In the group research and development of Mercedes-Benz Cars at the Sindelfingen site, we work on the vehicle generations of the future. Our goal is to develop innovative and sustainable products with the highest quality that delights our customers worldwide. As part of our team, you actively shape the development of the vehicle technician. The focus is on plastic components such as bumpers, illuminated radiator panels, front modules, longitudinal beam panels and the Mercedes-Benz star. These components not only shape the characteristic design of our vehicles, but also meet demanding functional and technical requirements. During your internship you will get a comprehensive insight into the entire development process, from the first concept idea to the design and testing to the standard vehicle. You work with numerous specialist areas and meet the diverse requirements of modern vehicle development. These include design, raw construction, crash, pedestrian protection, corrosion protection, overall vehicle safety and project organization. These challenges include: Cooperation in the development of innovative conformation components for future vehicle projects Design and commissioning of Rapid Prototyping components for concept and function protection Support in the construction and maintenance of test and test vehicles Planning, organisation and monitoring of functional and component testing, for example in the field of heat simulation Analysis, evaluation and documentation of test results and derivation of optimization potentials Creation of connection and component concepts with Siemens NX Implementation of competitive and technology benchmarks Independent processing and coordination of subprojects Close cooperation and coordination with internal departments and external development partners This is what awaits you: Direct cooperation on future-oriented vehicle projects from Mercedes-Benz Demanding and varied tasks with high practicality Insights into numerous development areas and interfaces of a global automotive manufacturer Own responsibility, design space and the opportunity to introduce your own ideas Cooperation with experienced professionals in an innovative development environment The activity can begin from March 2027.
