Head of Mission and Control Systems (m/f/d)

As Head of Mission and Control Systems for Engineering in the field of submarines, you take over the disciplinary leadership of over 100 experienced engineers (m/w/d). Together with your team, you are responsible for the entire system integration of modern board electronics in the current and future submarine projects – from effectors, IT infrastructure and communication systems to ESM/ECM and navigation to the complex battle and weapons deployment systems. In addition, cross-sectional topics such as software engineering and system security are included in your area of responsibility. You ensure that your team delivers compliant performance within the projects – in line with the requirements of the world of military standards, such as MIL‐STD, STANAG, AQAP, approval processes, RAMS, IT security and EMC. Together with your executives and product management, you develop the department's mid- and long-term technology and competence roadmap. You identify, promote and demand the professional and disciplined leaders of tomorrow in your team.

You have a completed university degree Master or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Communication Technology, Mechatronics, Physics or a related subject. You will bring at least 8 years of profound experience in the development and integration of complex electronic systems – the more of which in the field of maritime Wehrtechnik, the better. You have multi-year, detectable leadership experience, ideally already at group and/or department level. You have a very good technical understanding of sensor technology, signal processing, real-time systems, military data buses, software engineering and IT security. You are familiar with the typical technical development and detection principles, such as V-model, requirements management, configuration management and RAMS/ILS. You are highly loadable, communicatively strong, enforceable and perform safely and convincingly.
