The Department of Internal Medicine provides more than 4,000 patients per year in the stationary area. The special focus of the department with corresponding training authorizations is the general internal medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology with interventional endoscopy and cardiology, angiology and intensive medicine. The range of services of the gastroenterological team includes the entire spectrum of modern endoscopy, ultrasound and functional diagnostics. In the Centre for Visceral Medicine, patients are interdisciplinary at the level of a maximum care house. One focus is on the care of patients with oncological diseases.
