Head of Technology (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Head of Technology (m/w/d) at the earliest possible time to strengthen our leadership team. As Head of Technology (m/w/d), you take over the overall responsibility for research & development polymer materials, process technology and new products. With strategic vision, technical understanding and leadership, you will significantly shape the technological future of our company. In detail, you are responsible for: You take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of an interdisciplinary team of chemists: women, engineers: women and laboratory specialists. In doing so, you have the personal and professional development of the employees: always in view. You maintain open communication with the interface departments (sales, purchasing, production, maintenance and maintenance) and actively contribute to constructive cooperation across departmental boundaries. You conduct and control research and development projects for the care and development of our rolls and roll covers made of polymer and composite materials. Targeted, coordinate priorities and resources to ensure a timely and quality-oriented implementation of development projects. You give impulses for improvements in existing production processes with a focus on efficiency enhancement, reproducibility and ensuring product quality and successfully implement them in optimization projects together with your team. You will continue to develop the technical competence of the company to expand our market position. You identify new materials, generate ideas for new products, initiate projects to introduce new manufacturing processes and thus contribute significantly to the preservation of our innovative strength. You work with the development and creation of product and manufacturing strategies for existing and future global production sites and are responsible for their successful planning and implementation.

Take this with you: You have successfully completed a technical university/high-school study with a focus on polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, materials engineering and the like. You have several years of professional experience in a manufacturing company in the polymer material industry or in a comparable industry and bring well-founded knowledge in the material development, process engineering and industrial production of polymer products. With your strong leadership and communication strength, you will be able to inspire and further develop your employees. You are happy to “think the corner” and to actively advance technological innovations with passion and initiative. You are convinced by your strategic design will, entrepreneurial thinking, a structured and result-oriented way of working as well as distinct implementation competence. You will find the balance between strategic and operational work in a dynamic environment with high degrees of freedom. Very good knowledge of German and English and a safe handling of MS Office complete your profile.
