Design as Head:in Technisches Facility Management & Bauwesen (m/w/d) together with us the way to one of the first “Climate Friendly Hospitals” in Berlin.

We are an anthroposophical acute hospital and academic teaching hospital of the Charité with 426 beds/flats. Our hospital is located on an 18-hectare park-like grounds – located directly on the Havel – with a historical, listed building ensemble.

Strategic Responsibility: Development of a step-by-step, sustainability-oriented rehabilitation concept in cooperation with the hospital management and the climate team. Construction and Project Management: Planning, control and monitoring of large-scale construction projects, modernization and rebuilding measures with ongoing hospital operation, including budget, appointment and quality control. Contractor representation: control of external service providers, specialist planners and exporting companies from the tender to the acceptance and professional cooperation with offices and conservation authorities as well as licensing bodies. Leadership and Structure: Technical and Discipline Management of the Subordinated Operational Management Level and Optimization of Processes and Interfaces in Facility Management. Operator responsibility: Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and requirements for hospital operation during ongoing construction measures and ensuring the 24/7 availability of critical systems (e.g. emergency power, air conditioning and ventilation systems, elevators).

Qualification: Successfully completed studies in the field of technical facility management (TFM), construction or economic engineering or a comparable qualification. Experience: Multiannual professional experience in a leadership position and demonstrable experience in structural and technical projects of a certain size, as well as sound knowledge in building structures, process optimization and change management. Expertise: Deep understanding in building, procurement and contract law as well as in processes of operator responsibility. Ideally, you already bring specific knowledge about hospital-specific standards. Operation: Strategic vision, solution orientation in challenging situations, commitment and decision-making as well as strength and ideas to form and lead structures. Personality: Enforcement, diplomatic strength and a high level of mediation at the sensitive interfaces to stations, specialist departments and hospital management.
