In the field of expertise, all municipal tasks are located in the support, control and implementation of the corresponding educational processes. The area of school services of the city of Rüsselsheim am Main is the central point of contact for the spatial and objective conditions of the school business. We ensure a smooth run at our 17 schools (including primary schools, high schools, general schools and secondary schools) and we also take care of the personnel matters of the school secretariat and school administration. Security and regulatory tasks You open and close the school building according to usage and occupation times. You carry out regular inspections to determine the damage and to check the order and cleanliness in the school building and on the school grounds. You recognize, secure and eliminate danger points and cause necessary measures and emergency safeguards or carry them through. You carry out functional controls of technical installations (e.g. lighting, emergency lighting, heating, ventilation). You cooperate in the school crisis team and ensure the functioning of escape and rescue routes. Operation, maintenance and organisation You supervise and coordinate cleaning, maintenance and repair work by foreign companies. You carry out smaller repair and maintenance work. You organize and monitor waste disposal including bulk waste. You control, maintain and manage the school inventory. You manage the left-over keys and closing systems. You provide service, coordination and representation. You organize, coordinate and are contact persons for the use of school facilities outside the periods of instruction. You work with school management, school secretariat and external service providers. You represent and support colleagues in the event of a holiday or illness.
