You build and operate OpenShift as a container platform with integrated security and governance controls as well as lifecycle management components (backup, restore and disaster recovery), incl. Integration into the DATEV ecosystem and continuous development. You implement automation, deployment and scaling processes, from infrastructure, configuration and policy as code to GitOps. You develop APIs, CLI tools and service catalogs that enable development teams to easily and safely use their own. You take over load-level support, analyze technical disorders and configuration and authorization problems and work closely with the stakeholders: inside the platform, advise them on architecture and usage concepts and accompany them in successful onboarding. If necessary, you will take over the (part) project management of the topics in the platform and/or OpenShift environment.
Skills required: You have a successfully completed study of computer science or a comparable direction or completed vocational training, each with long-term, relevant experience in platform engineering as well as in the construction and operation of CaaS and PaaS platforms. You have well-founded knowledge of cloud platform technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift and generally have a deep understanding of the principles of cloud. You bring deep practical experience in automation according to the principle “Everything as Code” – for example with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Configuration as Code (CaC), Policy as Code (PaC) and GitOps. You are able to capture complex requirements and break down into workable task packages. You have experience in managing your own subprojects in the technical environment, in cooperation with development teams and agile work. Learnable skills: You build your know-how with tools like Terraform or Ansible for reproducing and scalable environments. You systematically develop your ability to solve and conscientious work.
