Consultant in Unit K.1 ''Fundamentals of Risk and Crisis Communication, Internal Communication'' (m/f/d)

The BBK is the head office of the Federal Government for National Crisis Management in Germany. We ensure the quality of crisis management in a central coordination role with federal, international and cross-sector partners. In view of this task, our interdisciplinary team is growing steadily. We are looking for dedicated professionals who want to make Germany more crisis-proof. We are looking at the next possible deadline until 31.12.2027 a speaker (w/m/d) Group E 13 TVöD (Bund) in the K.1 “Grundlagen der Risk- und Crisiskommunikation, Internal Communication” at the Bonn office.

Strategy – You are working on the design, construction and coordination of a cross-level communication strategy focusing on civil protection and civil defence. Panel work, cooperation and networking – You organize the committee work with the partners, among others with the communication leaders of the federal states and the specialist community, and strengthen our network work in the field of evidence-based risk and crisis communication. Documentation – You create guidelines, concept papers and practical hand-applications to implement an evidence-based communication strategy. Lecture and publication activities – In the context of topic-related events such as symposiums, courses and specialist working groups, you will refer to the projects and measures of the BBK and also publish them in the European and international context.

You have successfully completed a university degree in communication sciences, sociology, psychology or comparable. You have knowledge of risk perception, information and support needs of people in crises. You have an above-average competence in assessing communication measures in response to and experiencing audiences of public communication. You have proven interest in the social science aspects of crisis preparation and management. Very good German and English language skills in word and writing (German C1/English B2 according to GER) complete your profile. You like to work in the team and act very service-oriented. You communicate competently and appear address-oriented. Multi-day business trips to Germany and abroad are open to you. Since our tasks are safety-relevant and event-oriented, we need your willingness to extend the safety review and to participate in the BBK crisis organisation.
