Supplier: Chair of thermodynamics of mobile energy wall systems and Institute of Thermodynamics The Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Wall Systems (TME) at RWTH Aachen under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Together with the Chair of Technical Thermodynamics (LTT), Stefan Pischinger is located in the Faculty of Machine Engineering within the Rhine-Westphalian Technical University. At the Chair of Thermodynamics of Mobile Energy Wall Systems (TME) and its Center for Mobile Propulsion (CMP), all research topics relating to mobile drive systems are processed. The internal combustion engine with synthetic fuels, the fuel cell and the battery-electric drive are in focus, always very closely connected to the further development of intelligent test methods and calibration. With our research and our innovative solutions, we design all forms of sustainable mobility. PhD in the field of 'modeling and control of automated transmissions'

• Specifications of functional requirements for today's and future automated transmissions

• Model-based control design taking into account the overall concept

• Development of efficient algorithms for modeling and testing

• New control and control concepts

• Implementation of concepts/ algorithms in prototypical software

• Validation strategies of developed models and functionalities

• Complete university degree in mechanical engineering (master or comparable)

• Basic knowledge of the working priorities mentioned

• Good computer skills

• Good knowledge of English

• Experience in the field of functional development and transmissions desirable

The employment is in the employment relationship. The place shall be occupied at the next possible time and shall be limited to 1 year at first. An extension of at least 2 years is envisaged. The temporary employment is carried out within the framework of the time-limits of the science-time contract law. It is a full-time job. There is a doctoral opportunity.
